The Best off beaten track in Rajasthan
Rajasthan is the land of Maharajas, famous for its forts, palaces and heritage hotels, and Fort Barli evokes that cultural richness, the princely pleasures, and the romantic interludes of the historic era.
During our trip to Rajasthan on day 2. We reached in Fort Barli at night around 10 Pm. We were very tired after 7 hours journey in a car from Ranthambore to Fort Barli. The entrance of this fort was very impressive. We had very warm welcome on arrival in the fort by the owner of this property and their friendly staff.

After spending the night in this small, beautiful & romantic fort. I would say this “Fort Barli” is a best way to experience the authenticity of Rajasthan, one of India’s most vibrant, typical and exotic destinations. Just converted in a luxury heritage hotel with its own distinctive character in 2008, it revives the gracious lifestyles of India’s legendary Rajput princes. This royal heritage fort hotel combines classic heritage with contemporary elegance.
We had the royal experience of staying in this small fort in Suite Room. The lady of this fort was so pretty and explained us about the era of 300 years back. We enjoyed the Fort tour in the morning and after breakfast left for bullock cart ride around 9:30 am.
We took around the Barli village and met with villagers. All of them were at “Choraha” in center of the village with their cattle's. They are very organized with their daily life, they distribute their work in family members, all children, women and men work together in field. Some of them were making shoes, and mud vessel in the street. We saw the 350 years old village temple. People use to come this temple for their wishes from nearby villages and cities. It was so interesting to see the real village life. We were in our past decades for a moment during this village tour. Its unforgettable experience of my life.
